PASS PLUS with Jim Harrison at Driving's Cool
Expense
ahead? Don't get mad, get even better at driving...
Riding high on the feelgood factor from passing your driving test?
It gets even better, because you can skip some of the expense of getting mobile
by taking a short driving course to build on your existing skills and experience
with no test at the end. Contact Jim
if you would like to take the Pass Plus course.
What is Pass Plus?
Visit the Pass
Plus website for detailed information about the scheme (opens in new window).
Modules:
PASS PLUS consists of six practical modules which cover driving in town, in
all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways.
You can take it at any time within the first 12 month of passing your test.
Thousands of new drivers like you are enjoying the benefit of Pass Plus - from
help with your first trip down the motorway and driving round your local routes
to being better off financially.
Insurance Discount
Pass Plus will entitle you to a discount off your car insurance. Insurers currently
supporting Pass Plus are: AA Insurance, Adrian Flux Insurance Services, BSM
Insurance Services, Churchill Insurance, CIS, Direct Line, Endsleigh, Norwich
Union, Privilege, Provident, Royal and Sun Alliance, Tesco Motor Insurers, Swinton,
QUINN Direct Insurance Ltd and Zurich
The Pass Plus course is not a pass or fail course but an extra six hour course you have to complete to qualify for the Pass Plus certificate from the DSA. This certificate will then entitle you to apply for discount from your insurance company. The smallest saving would still be about twice as much as the cost of the course. In my experience the most saved was £1995.00 on the insurance of a Land Rover Discovery and the least was £300.00
Pass Plus prices:
Range Rover £150.00
Yaris £114.00
